Darcy Allen is Research Fellow at the Institute of Public Affairs, Editor of the quarterly magazine the IPA Review, and in the final stages of a PhD in economics at RMIT University in Melbourne. Darcy’s research interests are in the political economy of entrepreneurship, the economics of blockchain, and the regulation of new technologies.

He has appeared as an expert witness before the Senate Standing Committee on Economics, Senate Committee on Red Tape, and the Victorian Standing Committee on Economy and Infrastructure.
Darcy’s research, opinion pieces and comments have featured on the pages of The Australian, Australian Financial Review, Herald Sun, The Weekly Times, Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, The Canberra Times, and The West Australian. Darcy is an external member and research fellow at the University College London Blockchain Technologies Group.
